McFly arrived at Schiphol Amsterdam Airport around 13:30 and only a few girls got a glimps of them. The lucky ones had the chance to have a little chat with them and take a picture. They quickly left to their hotel - Izzy and Frankie hadn’t been seen at this point.

After twittering some photos of the balcony, which totally revealed in which hotel they were; American Hotel. This was just around the corner of the venue Paradiso.

Around 15:15 some fans spotted McFly in the McDonalds just around the corner from Paradiso, near the ‘Leidseplein’. Security found out that fans knew where they were and went to pick them up instead of letting them come over themselves. The street had to be cleared and everybody had to stand behind the fences. It’s been a long time since Amsterdam has seen so much madness, the screaming didn’t quite down and by passers all asked what was going on. Around 15:30 the van that went to pick McFly up left the venue, only to return around 16:20. What took them so long? We guess they had to pick up Frankie and Izzy from the airport as they weren’t seen when the guys arrived at Schiphol. The arrival of McFly at the venue was insanity to the max, and I’m sure everybody has gone slightly deaf. As they got out of the car they gave us a wave and Izzy& Frankie were spotted aswell. They quickly went inside, not to be seen again.

After their soundcheck, they had no time for dinner so they stayed inside and waited for the meet&greet with several magazine winners.

At 18:30 the doors opened and the whole mass from outside went in. The gig didn’t start until 20:00, which was the plan, but they didnt start until 20:15. This because girls were already passing out before McFly were even on the stage, girls were crying and pushing against the fences violently. The chanting for McFly didn’t stop and the screaming went on forever.

In the hall the new UCAP merchandise was stalled out, with new poster and new t-shirts. Amsterdam is also listed on the UCAP tour date shirt, so officially Amsterdam has been part of their UCAP tour.

In between songs there was a lot of grape-throwing, grape-catching (Tom kept on throwing grapes for Danny and Harry to catch with their mouths, Danny actually caught 1 and Harry 2) Tom had a chat with the audience about Twitter, and Danny said that he’s rubbish at twittering, but that he did a few that day. Dougie had to mention the sexstatus of Amsterdam and Harry complented the lovely girls of Holland- and directed all the guys to Dougie for all your satisfaction. Harry gave us a little strip, while Danny gave him a tune to shake his bum to, which is why we know that Harry was wearing tight green boxers.

After the gig had finished, they immediatly left in two black crystler taxis in the other direction from the hotel. We quickly rushed over and soon more and more fans popped up outside of the hotel. Too bad we didn’t catch them, but we have seen the balconies of their rooms (the ones they made pictures on earlier that day).

Throughout the day all the madness might even get into the Dutch newspapers. People thought the girls were waiting for Justin Timberlake or Michael Jackson or something, it’s insanity Amsterdam hasn’t seen in a long time.

Tom already left early Sunday morning, while Dougie& Frankie (and probs the others too) decided to stick around a little longer and catch a later flight.
