Here are some of the Article's I've found regarding McFly's newest Single: One For the Radio. Credits to McFly.com.br for the news. On May 30th it will be recorded the music video for the song "One For The Radio". We still don't have much information about it, the only things we know is that several extras will be on the video, and also, remember that video where the band asks for australian fans scream "We Don't Care" during the gig? This will be used as well. The video should be out on June 13th.
Below you can check the list of singles that will dispute the number 1 on charts with McFlly.
Avenged Sevenfold – Dear God Bob Sinclar presents Fireball – What I Want CSS - Left Behind The Cure – tba [Sun 13th] Cut Copy – Hearts On Fire Def Leppard –C’mon C’mon Echo & The Bunnymen - Think I Need It Too Ed Zealous – Pretty Face Hot Chip – Touch Too Much Ironik – Stay With Me Jack McManus - You Think I Don't Care Jordin Sparks feat Chris Brown – No Air McFly – One For The Radio Phil Campbell – Cold Engines Primal Scream – Can’t Go Back Rifles – I Could Never Lie Sam Beeton – What You Look For Sergeant – Sunshine The 10 Things to know about One For The Radio: 1) McFly made a very important decision on the last few weeks: at first, "Everybody Knows" should be the new single, but, it was finally settled that "One For The Radio" will be the first single of the new album called "Radioactive" (to be released on July 21st). The song is about how important being accepted on the media is to the band, to be seen as a real band. It is a perfect song to express all that the McFly boys have been through recently. The main theme on thisd song is way better than "Everybody Knows".
2) The song starts with Tom singing: "Well, here's one for the radio..." and they talk about their concern on this matter.
3) There are two different chorus on the song and one of them is among those lines: "So Here's Another Song for the Radio, And Here's Another Line from the Heart, so Don't pretend you hate us as you sing along, as We all look the same in the Dark...". Who did not understand McFly is saying something like "So Here's Another Song for Radio 1, we hope this time dedicate us more airplay, So Please Jo Whiley's don't pretend you hate us, because we're cool and indie too..."!
4) Message for McFLY: “Pete Wentz won't sign with Super Records, sorry!”
5) With this song McFLY wants to show us something important, they wanna say to everyone who sees us as losers something like: “Hey Bitch, We're cool and indie too"
6) We can hear the Australian fans on this song! McFly did two concerts there on February this year and they asked the australian fans to scream "We Don't Care". We can hear this on this song: "Put your Fist on your chest, raise your voice and protest, singing: 'We Don't Care'".
7) We strongly believe that video for this song, that should occur next week, will need to have some extras to do this chanting on cameras.
8) The best part of the song is sung by Danny Jones, approx to 1:45, he sings "One For The Radio" over and over, slowly and quietly...
9) The lyrics to the song are pretty original. There are bits like "LA Temptations", but one of the most important parts is "Life isn't fair for the people who care, Stick your nose in the air and that's how you go far, So go tell your lovers, your fathers and brothers, Your sisters and mothers how lucky they are" that speaks of the feelings the guys felt on the last 4 years, and how we finally will get to hear McFly by McFly...
10) The song is pretty good, 8 out of 10. It's not the McFly we know, but it's not that far from their original sound, maybe we can say that is McFly with a touch of maturity. McFly is on Bliss Magazine's May/June 2008 issue.
